The Black Stars, as Ghana is known will kick off their FIFA World Cup™ in Tshwane/ Pretoria against Serbia before making the relatively short 105km journey to Rustenburg to face Australia
Travel options from Tshwane/ Pretoria to Rustenburg.
By car: Given the distance, travelling by road is a good option. From Pretoria, travel to west using the N1 north until reaching the exit for the N4. Along the way, the Hartbeespoort Dam makes for an interesting stop, as do the breathtaking Sun City resorts.
By bus: The main bus terminus in Pretoria is on the north-east corner of Church Square in downtown Pretoria. From there, you can catch a bus to Rustenburg.
From Rustenburg, Ghana will travel a distance of approximately 120km to face Germany at Johannesburg’s Soccer City Stadium.
Travel options from Rustenburg to Johannesburg
By car: From Rustenburg the drive to Johannesburg takes around an hour and a half. First take the N4 to Tshwane/ Pretoria, feeling free to stop off at the Magaliesberg Nature Reserve or Pilanesburg Game Reserve. Once you reach Tshwane/ Pretoria, take the N1 South to Johannesburg.
